Horace (Howie) Kreitzman is an Industrial Engineer holding a Professional Engineering License and is a Certified Government Financial Manager. He worked for the Department of the Navy as an Industrial Engineer for several years, and then worked with the U. S. General Accounting Office (GAO) for 23 years as an Audit Manager doing Performance Audits of Government agencies and their contractors. He also was Manager of Internal Controls for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) Office of Minority and Women Owned Business until his retirement from Federal service.
Kreitzman now serves as Adjunct Professor of Business and Management at the University of Maryland University College where he teaches various management and Government contracting courses. He was appointed by Mayor Williams as a Commissioner of the D.C. Taxicab Commission and as a Board Member of the D.C. Office of Employee Appeals.
Mr. Kreitzman was recently elected to the position of ANC Commissioner, representing ANC 3B04. He also serves as Treasurer of the Ward Three Democratic Committee and is a long time member of the D.C. Democratic State Committee, having held positions of Acting Executive Director and Treasurer.
